'Ascending Flight' - Exploring elements of Dance Therapy & Energy Medicine
Company:
Full Force Dance Repertory
NEW YORK CITY - The concept of dance is revolutionized with the arrival of several new techniques. Full Force Dance Repertory (Full Force) is one such dance company that is aimed at adding extra elements to dance. Full Force, run by directors and choreographers A.R. Kadeem and Anginese Phillips, is regarded as being an up and coming dance company in Brooklyn. This is not only due to the fact that the passion and vigor given off by the dancers are intense, but also because the company combines elements of restorative dance and energy medicine to explore compelling stories. Their work will be presented in August through their concert, Ascending Flight.
Full Force will be showcasing a few of their short pieces as well a world premiere excerpt of their full length piece, Journeys of the Reformed Chil’. This year the company will be presenting their work alongside members of the Brooklyn community; Full Force has partnered with the Unity dancers of St. Paul’s Community Baptist Church in creating a soulful and highly stimulating dance number. This is surely not to be missed!
