Martha Hill Dance Fund

The Martha Hill Dance Fund presents this year's Lifetime Achievement Award to DANIEL LEWIS, recently retired founding Dean of Dance of the New World School of the Arts in Florida.   The Award will be presented by Carla Maxwell, Artistic Director of the Limon Dance Company.   Daniel Lewis was a member of the Limon Dance Company for years; he was also  a graduate of Juilliard, teacher at the School, and Assistant to Martha Hill for three years.   Recipient of the Young Professional Award is Patricia Carby, a student at the New World School.    A special addition to the evening will be an excerpt from "The Life of Martha Hill," a fascinating documentary by Greg Vander Veer.   Hostess for the evening will be Mercedes Ellington.   November 28, 6 PM, at the Manhattan Penthouse, 80 Fifth Avenue.
