UPDATED: Mar 9, 2016/Brooklyn, NY—On March 19 in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, BAM and Wordless Music present a special screening of Paul Thomas Anderson’s film Punch-Drunk Love (2002) with Jon Brion’s original score, performed live. The score has been re-orchestrated for performance by the 50 members of New York’s Wordless Music Orchestra, including composer Jon Brion as a special guest, led by conductor Ryan McAdams and percussionists Yuri Yamashita-Morales and Wilson Torres. Singer Norah Jones will make a special guest appearance, joining Jon Brion and the Wordless Music Orchestra to perform Harry Nilsson's He Needs Me. For this premiere event, BAM and Wordless Music have partnered with Sony Pictures and director Paul Thomas Anderson to produce a new score-less print of the film for live orchestral accompaniment.
