Ballet Hispanico
MAINSTAGE EVENT:
IF WALLS COULD SPEAK – WORLD PREMIERE
CHOREOGRAPHED BY FERNANDO MELO
FRIDAY, NOV 20 AT 8PM
SATURDAY, NOV 21 AT 8PM
Broadway World hails Ballet Hispanico for “the fascinating fusion of Latin themes with contemporary movement that has become Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro’s trademark.”
On this occasion, the company premieres a full-length work by the young, highly theatrical Brazilian choreographer Fernando Melo. Choreographed to a rich medley of electronic and acoustic Brazilian music, this evening-length homage to Melo's native country explores Brazil's culture--a land of soccer, samba and sensuality but also inequality and disorder--with abstract and poetic subtlety.
Tickets: $28 - $58
Apollo Advantage: $19.50 - $40.50
