BAAD! Presents
Bamabazo Dance Company
Bamboula
October 24 | 8PM
Milteri Tucker's new evening length work inspired by her family roots in Puerto Rico and New Orleans takes Afro Puerto Rican Bomba music and dance back to its Congolese origins, Southern style! Live percussion and vibrant dance continue a journey which began when the company had the distinction of being the only dance and drum ensemble from the Bronx to perform in the World Rhythms Festival in New Orleans' historic Congo Square. The concert is part of the Pepatian/BAAD! Open Call supported by the Jerome Foundation.
Presented as part of BAAD!'s BlakTinX Performance Series.
