Brooklyn, NY - Triskelion Arts presents Becky Radway Dance Projects in A strange set of attachments,
an original multimedia work for four live dancers and over 125 special guests in the video projection.
With large helpings of heart and humor, this new production points a finger at our natural idiosyncrasies,
both deliberate and unintentional. Our clothes, our body language, and how we choose to act in any given
situation say a lot about the character we present to the world. These tiny personal choices are highlighted
throughout, molded into athletic movement phrases, intimate partnering, and quirky theatrics. By altering
the live and recorded environments with shifting video backdrops and an arsenal of costumes, A strange set
of attachments draws out and illuminates what makes us… well, us.
Becky Radway (artistic director) grew up outside of Philadelphia and received her BA in Dance
Performance and Choreography from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD. Since moving to NYC, she
has had the pleasure of performing with the Kevin Wynn Collection, Heidi Latsky Dance, Ezra Caldwell,
Incidents Physical Theater, MariaColacoDance, Meghan McCoy, and iN.D.dance/Nicole Durfee &
Dancers. She has worked primarily in Arts Administration and was a finalist for the 2011-12 Arts
Management Fellowship program at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
A strange set of attachments also features dancers Jessi Patz (of Big Apple Lindy Hoppers, Adele Myers
and Dancers, and Ground Grippers Dance Company), Erica Moshman (of Heidi Latsky Dance), and
Heather N. Seagraves (of Amalgamate Dance Company), as well as original music by Scott Radway (of
the bands Now Soon Nowhere and Polkadot Cadaver, and recently nominated for a Best Soundtrack award
in the Terror Film Festival in Philadelphia), and lighting design by Andrew Dickerson (of Cirque This).
