Dana Tai Soon Burgess has been called the "Poet Laureate of DC dance" (Sarah Kaufman, The Washington Post) for his thoughtful and sophisticated portrayals of the human experience. He premieres his newest work, Becoming American, examining the processes surrounding acculturation into our multifaceted American landscape. Also on the program is Burgess’s critically acclaimed, autobiographical work, Charlie Chan and the Mystery of Love.
