Najla, a Manhattan-based belly dancer, will be presenting “Belly Dance on the Island” at this year’s FIGMENT Festival on New York City’s Governors Island on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 3:30 pm at the Pavilion Stage. The two-part show will feature a dance show by Najla followed by New York City’s largest audience-interactive belly dance performance. 
 
The first part of “Belly Dance on the Island” will take audience members on a “mini-history” tour of Egyptian-style belly dance, while the second part of the program will feature a mass dance number geared towards dancers and non-dancers alike.
