Bike East 20 Mile Bike Ride & Fitness Festival
Purelements: An Evolution in Dance
Bike East is a free annual community bike tour that changes the narrative about what happens in East
Brooklyn by bringing neighbors together to explore exciting bike destinations in their own backyard.
Lead by Purelements and The Brown Bike Girl, the 20 mile tour rides through East New York and
Brownsville to Floyd Bennett Field.
Purelements is committed to inspiring and motivating the
community to be their best selves, and Bike East encourages members of the community to thrive and
discover camaraderie through physical movement.
Bike East is a community-oriented event that
sparks joy and allows novice and experienced riders alike to discover the beauty of East Brooklyn while
being supported by their community. Since its inception in 2014, Bike East has grown remarkably from
40 cyclists to over 200 registered cyclists of all backgrounds and abilities.
Coinciding with the bike ride is a day-long outdoor Active Lifestyle Fair that makes fitness accessible to everyone. At the Active
Lifestyle Fair, participants of all ages and abilities can participate in free hourly fitness classes.
