WHITE WAVE Dance will present our 3rd SoloDuo Dance Festival with 24 participating choreographers/companies in three different programs. As in past years, performing artists hail from Metro-NY, across the US, Europe, Canada, and East Asia.
To celebrate the special art of the solo and duet, while creating additional opportunities to display the latest work of both emerging and mid-career choreographers, WW’s 2019 SoloDuo Dance Festival will be held at the Dixon Place, a setting nestled in the heart of the Downtown scene, located at the junction of the Lower East Side and East Village. This space inspires performing artists of all stripes and callings to stretch the limits of their creativity and take it to new heights. The SoloDuo festival’s foremost priorities, to serve as a safety net for artists, and to provide vivid experiences for audiences, make Dixon Place a one-of-a kind venue to showcase an intimate solo or duet.
Each choreographer/company may submit up to two applications for SoloDuo Festival (each application requires a separate application form, video, and application fee). The fee is non-refundable.
