This 5-day intensive offers dance teachers and professional dancers an opportunity to delve into the fundamental principles of the Humphrey/Limón technique. It is designed to offer a foundation for teaching Limón-based technique classes.
The workshop is led by former Limón Dance Company dancer Kathryn Alter. It runs Monday, October 23rd to Friday, October 27th from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
The full program includes:
• Daily technique classes
• Exploration of the underlying principles
• Phrases from repertory (contemporary and classic)
• Use of rhythm and music in Limón classes
• Opportunities for participants to teach class work and phrase material
Part-time program option: morning technique class and repertory from 9:30am to 12:30pm
