AUDITION NOTICE SEEKING MEN AND WOMEN
Carolyn Dorfman Dance announces auditions for its 2018 - 2019 Performance and Touring Seasonincluding regional and national touring, performance and teaching residencies.
• Full-time (rehearsals starting September 11)
• Paid rehearsals, performance and teaching
• Non-union, 30+ week contract
• Rehearsals are held in NYC
• Legal work status required
Seeking MALE and FEMALE dancers with strong modern and
ballet technique, bold athleticism, musicality and broad theatrical
range. The Company is looking for dancers who are visceral
movers who share a commitment to powerful ensemble work
and partnering. Women should be between 5’2” - 5’7” tall. Men
should be minimum 5’6” tall. A minimum of 2 years professional
experience preferred. Dancers called back will be asked to
perform a short solo.
Dancers interested in auditioning are encouraged to attend
open company class on June 8th and 11th. Class will be
taught by Carolyn Dorfman at Gibney Dance: Agnes Varis
Performing Arts Center (280 Broadway, New York, NY). Space is limited, advanced registration
is recommended. Information can be found online at
