Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival

A special free screening and live chat with the artists
Wednesday, May 27 | 5pm Eastern

In honor of the 143rd anniversary of Isadora Duncan's birth today! To celebrate the life of the great modern dance pioneer, we hope you will meet us on YouTube tomorrow afternoon for a special livestream of The Art of Isadora, featuring Lori Belilove and the Isadora Duncan Dance Company with a special guest: New York City Ballet principal dancer Sara Mearns.

Mearns' interpretation of the work of Isadora Duncan has been hailed as “a revelation” (The New York Times). Belilove is today’s pre-eminent Duncan interpreter, and performs The Art of Isadora with Mearns and the senior members of her Company. This performance of Duncan’s signature repertory—filmed in 2019 on Jacob's Pillow's Inside/Out Stage—is set to music by Chopin, Brahms, Gluck, Schubert, and Scriabin.

Join us for an incomparable program of Duncan dances, introduced by a live conversation with Belilove and Mearns, moderated by Norton Owen. All three will be available for questions and comments in the online chat after the performance.
