Celia Ipiotis interviews Bessie Schonberg and Louise Roberts
Eye on Dance video showing
Celia Ipiotis continues her series of free showings of Eye on Dance TV episodes. The Dec. 14 video, taped in 1986, features Ipiotis interviewing two late, well-loved dance figures: Bessie Schonberg (mentor/composition teacher) and Louise Roberts (mentor/director of Clark Center). The video includes excerpts of works associated with the women: dances by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and Paul Andrew Thompson, and Valda Setterfield's introduction of Schonberg at the first Bessie awards presentation in 1984. A live panel discussion will follow, led by Ipiotis and including Zollar (director of Urban Bush Women) and Jill Williams (director of Clark Center Remembered.
