A 3-month dynamic and comprehensive course for dancers, educators, and choreographers seeking to deepen their teaching practice and develop a personalized, effective, and inclusive pedagogical approach.
Students will receive a certificate of completion from Anabella Lenzu at the end of the course.
This 12-week program offers an immersive experience designed to explore universal teaching methodologies applicable across all dance styles and techniques. Through weekly 3-hour sessions, participants will refine their instructional skills, articulate a unique teaching philosophy, and create structured lesson plans and curricula rooted in their own movement practices.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Acquire essential pedagogical tools for analyzing, organizing, and designing effective and adaptable teaching plans.
Address and navigate real-world pedagogical challenges in dance education with confidence and clarity.
Develop a comprehensive teaching portfolio, including a personal pedagogical statement, a clearly articulated teaching philosophy, and a five-year professional development plan.
Master core classroom skills, including:
Leadership in the dance studio
Ethics of touch and physical communication
Effective class management strategies
Skill assessment and constructive feedback methods
Curriculum development for diverse learning contexts
Identify and utilize key dance resources available in New York City to support ongoing artistic and professional growth.
Advocate for the role of dance education as a vital force for cultural awareness, social responsibility, and artistic transformation.
Preserve and advance artistic and social values, connecting past traditions with present pedagogical practices.
Promote community engagement by designing inclusive, accessible, and socially conscious dance learning environments.
Stimulate intellectual and creative inquiry, expanding pedagogical knowledge and critical thinking capabilities.
Understand dance as a multidimensional discipline, examining its cultural, technical, aesthetic, and educational significance.
Participants will also engage in hands-on teaching practice, applying course concepts in real-time instructional settings.
