Chen Dance Center presents "newsteps: a choreographer's series," its semi-annual emerging choreographer's series. Since 1994, Chen Dance Center has supported and presented hundreds of young choreographers and dancers through space and production grants. The six choreographers selected for the Dec. 5-7 performances are Alice Halter, Caitlin Javech, Susanne McHugh, Jessica Alexander & Madison Doyle, Catherine Eng, and Amanda Spilinga. They were selected through an open audition before panelists H.T. Chen, Walter Rutledge, Elizabeth Keen, and Lance Westergard.
