Chez Bushwick's 2Night Show November: Laurel Snyder
solosarehardtomake is an evening length solo performance created and performed by Laurel Snyder in collaboration with musician, John Mosloskie. This work is the culmination of several years of individually studying embodied voice, movement, music and performance. Laurel has developed a cumulative practice in which each element is reliant on the others for fruition. It is a practice that allows for complex integration and layered expression. Solosarehardtomake mirrors Laurels personal development as a versatile artist and performer, acknowledging her insecurities and explicitly presenting her pursuit of confidence and trust in her artistic and literal voice. Throughout the evening the audience will witness the transformation of Laurels inevitable vulnerability into impermeable strength as she transcends her fears and attempts to make her dreams come true.
