Christopher Caines Dance: four→ONE (Premiere)

Company:
Christopher Caines Dance
How do we choose what to see? And how does that make us listen? Christopher Caines premieres four→ONE, a new two-act ballet fusing bold spatial and musical experiments inspired by the architecture of 92Y’s Buttenwieser Hall. In an intensely immersive experience, the ballet features chamber music by Ernst Toch, Paul Hindemith, Mozart and a commissioned score by Paul Kerekes. Two-time Tony Award nominee costume designer Gregory Gale invites the audience to participate by wearing colors complimenting the hall’s décor: black, deep blue, gray and silver. Guest artists Sean Stewart (ABT) and Maya Oguri (NYTB) join Christopher Caines Dance.
