“The only name in specialty entertainment you need to know in 2017 is a small scale bundle of joy called Cirque-tacular.” -Luis Vazquez, Asianinny.com
"a must see...features acts and stunts that impress and often amaze in a variety of ways...many of which seem to test the laws of gravity and personal strength." -Mimi O'Connor, Red Tricycle
New York, 19 April, 2017...The Kidpass Choice Award-Winning company Cirque-tacular, who has been featured as "Best Things to Do" on Mommy Poppins and NY1, returns to the 14th street Y Theater to create an intimate setting for what Shelley Goldberg of NY1 calls "enchantment!" and bring the brilliance of springtime in all its glory and magic to the young and young at heart with Spring-A-Ding DING! The all ages limited engagement, directed and created by Cirque-tacular's Tad Emptage, takes place for 13 performances only from May 19-June 3rd, 2017 at the 14th street Y Theater (344 East 14th street at 1st Ave). Tickets can be purchased directly at www.14streety.org or www.springading.com or by calling 646-395-4310.
Brianna, the charming and curious girl who explored the magic of winter in the sell-out smash hit, Snowkus Pocus: Enchant the Spring, hops into a new 'adventure-through-the-seasons' in Spring-A-Ding DING! A fresh cast of characters create the vivid enchantment of springtime. Trick-ropping rabbits and leaping frogs, twirling flowers, dancing birds, glittering rain showers and even a contortionist earthworm bring the budding season to life! Portrayed through dazzling circus, dance, and can't-believe-your-eyes specialty acts, audiences of all ages will delight as the glory of the new season unfolds. Imagine Brianna's surprise as she meets comical creatures and even befriends a skunk! Our young heroine has lessons to learn and also to teach to the woodland creatures as she eagerly searches for the butterfly that will usher in the next season, summer. This delightful new show thrills young and old while warming hearts in the way only Cirque-tacular can!
Cirque-tacular is a very different kind of circus company from the now closed Ringling Bros, the behemoth Cirque du Soleil or even the recent Circus 1903. Unlike those events where kids and families are swallowed by the size of the venue, Cirque-tacular offers a chance to be enveloped by the magical world of circus up close and personal. Cirque-tacular shows are intimate, theatrical and utilize dance, circus arts and specialty acts to tell a story that's not only dazzling to the eyes, but touching to the heart, through thrilling feats performed by charming characters. All of which comes together to make a Cirque-tacular show a totally unique and unforgettable experience for everyone!
