Coming to the Surface: a Solo Dance Project with Katie Stevinson-Nollet is a collection of solo dance works from some of the countries most innovative and cutting edge choreographers. The performance features four original dance works by world-renowned choreographers Adam Baruch, David Dorfman, Jean Isaacs, and Kate Weare. Also on the program is a playful collaboration with Stevinson-Nollet and Bang on a Can Bassist, Robert Black. Themes explore topics of femininity, discovery, age, misogyny and empowerment.
Coming to the Surface will have its New York premier at Gibney: Varis Performing Arts Center, 280 Broadway (entrance at 53A Chambers), New York, NY 10007.
Performances are June 21, 22, and 23, 2018, 8:00pm.
Tickets: $15.00 in advance/ $20.00 at the door.
