Renowned puppet and maskmaker Ralph Lee presents his company of actors, puppeteers, and musicians in his  delightful "Communications from a Cockroach: Archy and the Under Side," drawn from the Archy and Mehitabel sketches written by humorist/poet Don Marquis for his daily column in the New York Sun starting in 1916.    Not a dance concert, but a visual treat with actor/singers operating the puppets and providing their voices in full view of the audience.   The cast of critters includes, in addition to Archy the Cockroach and his pal Mehitabel (an alleycat with the soul of Cleopatra), an array of fleas, tarantulas and crickets.    Original music composed by Neal Kirkwood will be performed live on vibraphone, saxophone and double bass.   Fri/Sat/Sun, September 7-9 and 14-16 in the Outdoor Garden of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 111th Street & Amsterdam  (not in the Cathedral - in the Outdoor Garden - look for the peacocks that roam free there).
