SAVE YOUR SPOT, SPACE IS LIMITED!!!
Mary Madsen and I came across each other during a workshop with Elia Mrak in NY this past summer, since then we have continued working together. We wanted to have a space to playfully improvise and dance together so we started with our Playdate sessions in September. We have been meeting every week since then, and today we want to open the doors of our playdate to anybody who would like to join us, welcome!

Do you like to move, improvise, and create dance? Do you like to play?
Do you enjoy working with a team and researching new ideas about movement?
We will open our Playdate Practice to share our approach to improvisation and dance composition in the context of working as a community. We will practice navigating the impulses to lead as well as follow. We will be open and be ready to go in any direction. Participants will create movement material working in duets and trios, and acquire different tools to access the creative process in dance. This is a great opportunity to share an experience with a group of people who has the same interest as you. We will have live music by Eran Fink!
During this Workshop we will PLAY to create short duets and trios, using different elements of improvisation and composition. At the end of the workshop day we will bring all the work together and film it. Participants will get a copy of the video.
If you are interested in attending the workshop please send a short bio, including any previous experience in performing arts. If you don’t have performance experience don’t worry, please contact us anyway. Also please send some words describing what you are interested in taking away from this workshop.
