Malpaso Dance Company

The Joyce continues its dedication to promoting the best of Cuban dance in this festival focusing on the return of audience favorite Malpaso Dance Company and the New York debuts of two other skilled and stylish companies.

“A thrilling affirmation of flourishing independent arts in Cuba” (Huffington Post), Malpaso Dance Company of Havana collaborates with top international choreographers and nurtures new voices in Cuban choreography. At The Joyce, Artistic Director Osnel Delgado presents the US premiere of Ocaso, his acclaimed 24 Hours and a Dog, and Bad Winter, a duet choreographed by Trey McIntyre. The program features live music by Grammy Award-winning Cuban-American composer Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble.

Program: Approximate Running Time: 1 hour 47 minutes (including one intermission)
