2015 CUBAN CLASSICAL BALLET SUMMER INTENSIVE
JULY 6 - JULY 24, 2015
Ballet Hispanico's one-of-a-kind Cuban Classical Ballet Summer Intensive employs the Cuban methodology to train pre-professional dancers. Director of Classical Training Caridad Martinez, a former principal dancer with the Cuban National Ballet who trained with the legendary Alicia and Fernando Alonso, supervises the program. Under her guidance, students will develop the athleticism, passion and grace Cuban dancers are most famous for. They will also have the opportunity to work with special guest artists and learn the intricacies that make Cuban dancers so sought-after by leading companies around the world.
An accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD), Ballet Hispanico has a 44-year history as a leader in dance and cultural excellence in New York City and around the world. At our Cuban Classical Ballet Summer Intensive, students will improve their technique, develop their performance skills in a culminating presentation, gain exposure to Ballet Hispanico artists, and experience all that the dance capital of the world has to offer.

Ballet (Cuban Technique and Methodology), Historic Dances, Pointe, Stretch, Variations
FEES
$1,750 for a 3-week program (Mon-Fri): Beginner (9:30am-3:45pm), Intermediate & Advanced (9:30am-5:15pm)
$20 Audition Fee, non-refundable (payable by cash, credit card or check)
$500 Deposit following acceptance into the program, non-refundable
FINANCIAL AID
A limited amount of need-based financial aid is available to NY/NJ residents only.
AUDITIONS
Admission to the Summer Intensive is by audition only.* Students are placed into one of three levels according to technical ability.

3:30-4:15pm (Ages 8-11)
4:30-5:15pm (Ages 12-20)
*All auditions at the Ballet Hispanico Studios (167 West 89th Street)

2) $20.00 Audition fee (cash only)
3) Headshot
4) If student dances on pointe, he or she should bring pointe shoes to the audition
VIDEO AUDITIONS
If you are unable to audition in New York, you may submit a video application (your package must be postmarked no later than April 25, 2015). Instructions and application form for the video audition may be downloaded HERE.
