Leslie Cuyjet: Alike
Alike is inspired by internal narratives that flicker in the mind and vanish before their meaning is understood. It is a dance that comes upon itself through evoking shared history and tracing memories held within the body. Cuyjet aims to locate complementary and dissonant expressions on a single theme, to create a sensory-rich product of overlapping personal experiences in fantasy and biography.

Lela Aisha Jones | FlyGround: Plight Release & the Diapsoric Body: Jesus & Egun
Jesus & Egun works from the premise and concept expressed by Dr. Nzinga Metzger that “Jesus is an overworked ancestor (Egun) and we must look to all our ancestors and practices on the continuum to move into states of restoration.” In this work Lela Aisha Jones explores three states of being including the Mothers of the church, the transcendent social dance form House and Yoruba spiritual practice.
