Set in the 1990s—during the golden age of Hip Hop—in Fort Greene and Bedford-Stuyvesant, MyBaK depicts a weekend in the lives of Kevin, Basil, Cecil, Mona and Charlene a group of friends who are living their dreams. The play raises important questions about the nature of Blackness and puts bisexuality in African-American and Caribbean-American communities front and center.
