Dance as Trance/Dance as Ritual explores how we intuitively enter ritualistic states of movement and how expression of the “spiritual” manifests reverently and irreverently in dance. Catlin Cobb, Mireille Feyzeau, and Susan Osberg are choreographers and master teachers, whose spiritual practices came out of dance. They will draw from known traditional ritual structures and break into maverick contemporary performance rites. They are original members of Dance Across Borders, our movement to open minds. Theme for 2010: Elements of Autobiography in Our Collective Landscape.
