With fall officially starting, we look forward to celebrating the new season with you at Dance on the Greenway, DTE’s latest site-specific work taking place in conjunction with openhousenewyork’sweekend celebration of NYC architecture and design. This is a free event open to the public. Bring a friend and a camera!

Dance Theatre Etcetera presents Dance on the Greenway in collaboration with South Brooklyn Industrial Development Corporation, the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative, Dance NYC, and in conjunction with openhousenewyork.

Dance on the Greenway will present dance works by Shannon Hummel/Cora Dance, Ani Taj Niemann/Dance Cartel, Charmy Wells with Sarah Donnelly/RDC as well as the work of two young emerging Red Hook choreographers Solomon Goodwin/Royal Empire and Michelle Eaddy/Picture Perfect. These new site-specific dance works have been created for the spectacular Red Hook IKEA Erie Basin Park and will take place in conjunction with openhousenewyork’s weekend celebration of NYC architecture and design. These performances are free and take place outdoors. Audience should plan to arrive 15 minutes early, and wear comfortable walking shoes. Enter through the IKEA parking lot at the intersection of Beard and Dwight Streets.

With summer over, DTE’s new Education Director, Patrick Crowley, is hard at work getting DTE’s arts education programs up and running at our partner schools.  kamau ware, DTE’s new Media and Marketing consultant, has been bringing fresh approaches to our outreach efforts for Dance on the Greenway.
