The 36th anniversary of DanceAfrica—under the artistic direction of Baba Chuck Davis—features Umkhathi Theatre Works (Zimbabwe), Giwayen Mata (Atlanta), Harambee Dance Company (Bronx), and BAM/Restoration DanceAfrica Ensemble (Brooklyn) over Memorial Day weekend
Special Opening Celebration on Sunday, May 19 featuring SWEET HONEY IN THE ROCK
Annual celebration also includes BAMcafé Live and FilmAfrica events and the outdoor DanceAfrica Bazaar
