A practice in process intensive for advanced and professional dancers:
(3) REPERTORY to be REIMAGINED + DEVOURED by the INDIVIDUAL
SOAK is for experienced performers interested in thinking and applying themselves beyond the convention of the proscenium. PHYSICAL + MINDFUL...a reminder and reconsideration of the dancing body and its slippery, realistic relationship to the architecture of time, space and dually occupying bodies.
DANIELLE RUSSO PERFORMANCE PROJECT is a network of movement-based artists that design conceptual performances for unconventional formats. Its mission is to create earnest, intellectual escapes that are not only widely accessible but strike personal relevance and cultural response. Its world is unapologetically vulnerable; rigor and nuance are handled with equal care in a focused and honest physicality.
Danielle Russo has been presented nationally at the American Dance Festival, Jacob's Pillow and The Yard; and internationally in Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Mexico, Panama, South Korea, Spain and Sweden. Local NYC highlights include the Ace Hotel, Armory Arts Week, Julian Schnabel’s Casa del Popolo, CPR, Gowanus Art + Production, HERE Arts and La MaMa, to name a few.
