Harkness Dance Center is committed to cultivating artists of the future, and with Dance Up! we showcase the original choreographic work of the next generation of dance artists. Fifteen choreographers ages 13-19 — representing ballet, tap, contemporary and Irish dance — present their work. Selected from over 75 applications, these young talents demonstrate the makings of an original voice — a movement vocabulary that reflects their vision, sound accompaniment that works seamlessly with those movement ideas, and well-developed choreographic structures.
