Talli Jackson, dancer for Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, is teaching at Gibney Dance this week! Challenge yourself with a complex class that fuses fluidity with the counter-intuitive articulations of our bodies. Talli will be teaching this Tuesday and Thursday, May 27th and 29th from 2 pm - 4 pm.
Talli was born and raised in Liberty, NY. He has been a recipient of full scholarships from the American Dance Festival in ‘06 and ’08, the Bates Dance Festival, and the Ailey School. Since moving to New York City in 2006, Talli has had the pleasure of working with Francesca Harper, Paul Matteson, and Erick Montes. He has been a member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company since 2009. Talli has a passion for teaching and has been delighted to share his understanding of technique, partnering, and composition at colleges and universities around the country. In 2013, Talli was nominated for the Clive Barnes Award and was honored with a Princess Grace Award in dance. He is the founder of the P.I.E. (Performative Improvisation Ensemble) and the Open Source Artists Collective.
