INSEKTA: The Bustling World Of Bugs

"There is nothing like it... flashy, noisy, intellectually stimulating and most importantly, different."

The historic Flushing Town Hall presents

KINEMATIK Dance Theater

INSEKTA: The Bustling World Of Bugs.

Insects represent over 90% of multicellular life on earth, dominating the biological spectrum with over 100 million species. Collaborating with technology artist Cheng-I-Wang, KINEMATIK explores the intricate and complex microorganisms that surround us. Fusing the latest technology in motion detection, with the movement  vocabulary of Breakdance, House, Vogue and contemporary modern dance, INSEKTA is a unique and visually stimulating dance performance.

"KINEMATIK takes the funky and frenetic route, with the energy levels of the dancers and media technicians at 110%."

- Jennifer Dwoskin, Dossier Journal

"An army of ants forms a superorganism, marching in sync as if they can sense the vibrations of the others' steps."
