Carlye Eckert and John SorensenJolink , artists in residence at Judson Memorial Church, will present the premiere of their collaboration, RescYou, January 17-19, four performances.    The couple, both natives of Portland, Oregon, and lifelong friends, have danced in New York for the past decade: Sorensen-Jolink appeared in Twyla Tharp's Broadway shows "Movin' Out," and "Come Fly Away."   He has more recently appeared in the companies of Lucinda Childs ("Einstein on the Beach" at BAM), Doug Elkins + Friends, the John Jasperse Company and in the original NY cast of Punchdrunk's Sleep No More.    Carlye's recent credits include appearances with Jonah Bokaer, Tino Sehgal, Jack Ferver, Keigwin + Company, the Dublin Fringe Festival, The Equus Projects, and at Pittsburgh's Kelly Strayhorn Theater with choreographer Luke Murphy.

The duet RescYou centers around the relationship of two friends before and after a disaster that leaves them stranded on an emergency life raft.   With this new evening-length work, Eckert + SorensenJolink will transform the historic sanctuary of Judson Memorial Church into a vast ocean in which time, memories, and daily life cease to exist.
