The Lounge at Dixon Place: where friends meet!
The Lounge at Dixon Place is the only bar on the Lower East Side where every cocktail supports artists and their new work. As a non-profit theater with a liquor license, we serve the most imaginative drinks in the neighborhood! Give yourself time to hang out before a show-you can even take your drink into the theater! And since every drink you buy goes directly to support our artists, your intoxication is absolutely guilt-free!

So remember our lounge when you're out on the town. Celebrate your birthday or anniversary and support our cause. Drop in any night. You may catch free performances of music, comedy, poetry or burlesque. Our bartenders are the friendliest in town and will serve you right! Open evenings Monday thru Saturday.

THE WELL OF HORNINESS
Tickets: 2 (advance), 5 / 0 stu/sen & TDF (door)

Holly brings her famous and infamous Well of Horniness back to NYC for a thirtieth year anniversary production! A broad and campy romp featuring broads who were run out of camps, this sapphic spectacle is the unholy love child of Radcliffe Hall on acid and Charles Ludlam on estrogen. The play, first performed at the WOW Cafe featuring Peggy Shaw, Deb Margolin, Carmelita Tropicana, Sharon Jane Smith, Moe Angelos, Lois Weaver and Holly Hughes has been had numerous productions every year since its premiere, some times to acclaim, like winning the People's Choice at the Orlando Fringe Festival - a distinction I've decided to interpret as an honor - and sometimes to outrage - as when it was banned in 2009 at the College of Staten Island.

On May 8, we'll have special guest appearances by Erin Markey, Joseph Keckler and Pat Oleszko.
