FREE Performance: LEIMAY Ensemble presents "Bodies on the Brink"
A sculptural dance installation set in New York Restoration Project’s beautiful Green Acres Community Garden. Bodies on the Brink is an outdoor performance which pairs the dancers of the LEIMAY Ensemble with kinetic sculptures that respond to movements in a visual and audible manner.
The friction between nature, the human body, and man-made structures reveals a teetering body constantly mediating its relationship with gravity and balance. LEIMAY’s sculptural installation performance embodies humanity’s desire for control juxtaposing a shifting world of ephemerality and constant transformation.
This is a FREE and durational performance, audience members are welcome to come and go as they please.
Saturday & Sunday // September 15 & 16, 4-5pm
