Fri, Apr 13, 12 pm, tickets from $10
Arthur Mitchell, founder of Dance Theatre of Harlem and former principal dancer of the New York City Ballet, joins Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation, to reflect on Mr. Mitchell’s lifelong commitment to diversity and excellence in dance. The program features performance - including Balanchine’s Agon with New York City Ballet principle Maria Kowroski, and Mitchell’s Balm and Gilead - plus an archival slide show and conversation with Darren Walker and original Dance Theatre of Harlem dancers and collaborators.
