Maya Ciarrocchi and Kris Grey invite you to a public showing of the first workshop iteration of Gender/Power. The showing will run for one hour from 11:30-12:30am and will be followed immediately by a talk-back and discussion.
Gender/Power is a collaborative working methodology that includes performance, video installation, and workshops to directly engage with various communities in order to address social justice issues around authority and gender.During a one-week session at the Invisible Dog, workshop participants will build a collaborative artwork centered on how they experience power and authority based on the perceptions of their gender. The live performance event and discussion will be the culmination of this process.
Admission is free although RSVP's are recommended.
