On December 3rd, 2020, NYC-based Heidi Latsky Dance (HLD) will lead hundreds of individuals across the world in an online performance of ON DISPLAY GLOBAL (ODG), a living sculpture court of dramatically different bodies from the worlds of disability, dance and fashion. Click here to access the press release for more basic information.

Updates

From 6 to 24 hours. Due to the overwhelming response by potential participants, this live stream event expanded to a 24 hour durational performance.

An incredible and growing coalition of partnerships are developing around this event. "Supporters" will help promote ON DISPLAY GLOBAL while offering additional programming. Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has agreed to set up a class to teach the installation for those interested in performing. Other supporters include NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Disability Unite festival, Art Beyond Sight, and The Dance Enthusiast.

Each "Host" coordinates and presents one hour of performance. Current hosts include Boston Architectural College, American Dance Festival, Harvard Dance Center, Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Positive Exposure, Tanin Tarobi, Second Echo Ensemble, Art Spark Texas, Catey Ott Dance Collective, Karen Peterson and Dancers, Flower Dance Festival, Artscompana and Dancing Wheels Company. HLD will host an hour in memory of those we have lost this year.

The symbolism is unmistakable, the timing critical. ODG has always been about celebrating difference. Normally performed separately at dozens of sites, the 6th annual ON DISPLAY GLOBAL will have everyone come together in one live stream, actively demonstrating unity as we recover from a wildly divisive election cycle.

Audiences are invited to follow HLD on social media or subscribe to their newsletter to receive streaming information before December 3rd.
