Company:
Heidi Latsky Dance
A 24-hour Global Event to Honor the United Nations' International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd, 2022 - Heidi Latsky Dance
ON DISPLAY GLOBAL connects local leaders across time zones and borders to create human sculpture courts in their cities to be viewable both in-person and on Zoom
ON DISPLAY GLOBAL, a celebration of diversity and life, began in 2015 with only two sites and has since grown to include over 30 countries! Participants - groups and individuals - learn the fundamentals from Heidi Latsky Dance via Zoom, book a time slot for December 3rd, and become part of this honorary event. Anyone can join from anywhere!
Over the years, participants have tuned in virtually from rooftops in Tehran, NYU Tisch School for the Arts, the United Nations, Whitney Museum of American Modern Art in NYC, National Portrait Gallery in DC, Shanghai Himalayas Museum, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, the Widener Library at Harvard University, and the Oil Tank Cultural Park in Seoul!
“ODG made me feel a part of something. I’m not a dancer or an artist, but I am still part of the world community and ODG gave me a chance to show my support for those who can often be overlooked. We all have a story to tell.”
- ODG 2021 Participant
It’s so simple, so easy, and oh so rewarding to honor the United Nations' International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
