Monthly Series Begins March 13 at 61 Local
New York, NY, February 12, 2019 – The Big Apple’s newest contemporary dance event company, Hi Artist, today announced a series of spring shows through Airbnb Experiences. The monthly series kicks off on March 13th at the beloved Brooklyn watering hole 61 Local. It is the first dance performance of its kind to be introduced to the Airbnb Experiences platform in New York City.
Hailed by Gothamist as one of “The Best Things To Do In NYC,” Hi Artist experiences are social and highly intimate in nature. Events end with the performers joining the audience for drinks, conversation and general revelry, giving guests the unique opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists after the show. They also feature an emcee, who provides additional context about the artists and tells untold stories behind the dance pieces being shown.
“We are thrilled to be offering Hi Artist events through Airbnb Experiences,” said Hi Artist Founder Elizabeth Cooke. “New York City’s contemporary dance scene is vibrant and full of talent. We can’t wait to share our beautiful artists and unique format with more and more audiences.”
Formerly a carriage house, 61 Local serves food, drinks, and warmth from its spacious location in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. This Hi Artist series will take place in their private event space upstairs.
