I Step On Air - Power Moves @ Women Month

Company:
Oxana Chi & Ensemble
The 16th annual BAAD! ASS WOMEN FESTIVAL celebrates the empowerment of women through art, culture and performance. This evening closes up the festival with a shared evening featuring two powerful women choreographers : Oxana Chi & Maria Bauman/MB Dance.
Oxana Chi & Ensemble presents I STEP ON AIR : a dance-music-word femmage-tribute to Afro-German poet and activist May Ayim, who was "Germany's Audre Lorde". An entertaining and meditative performance, which creates an intimate and liberating universe. Accompanied by Layla Zami with live-music and words, Oxana Chi takes you on a poetic-political dance journey back to the roots... or into Afropean futures?
