ICE THEATRE OF NEW YORK IS PROUD TO PRESENT
ITS PARTICIPATION IN “NEW YORK’S GOLDEN ICE AGE”
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23 AT THE MUSEUM OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

New York, NY: Ice Theatre of New York (ITNY) is proud to announce its participation in an exploration and celebration of New York City’s legendary history of figure skating and ice hockey, inspired by the Museum of the City of New York’s exhibition, New York on Ice: Skating in the City.

The program kicks off with a conversation with two-time figure skating World Medalist and ITNY Honoree Sonya Klopfer Dunfield and Stan Fischler, resident hockey expert on the MSG Networks. Afterwards, inspired by the intimate skating revues presented at nightclubs around New York City in the 1930s and ‘40s, enjoy an evening of virtuosic skating by the Ice Theatre of New York on our amazing synthetic ice surface -- right inside the Museum’s Rotunda, accompanied by singer Marjie Shrimpton.

Founder/ Director Moira North said, "While Ice Theatre of NY is forward thinking with its programming and choreography we have always admired and tried to learn from the history of skating performances of all kinds. From this exhibition at the Museum of the City of NY we have learned so much!“

Reception to follow with seasonal cocktails. Includes Museum admission.
