ITNY is set to return to the world-famous Rink at Rockefeller Center bringing together world-class professional skaters and performers for its free City Skate Concert Series. Join ITNY as they present new pieces as well as perform numbers from their extensive 30+ year repertoire.
Included are pieces by Jody Sperling, "Arctic Memory," a piece adapted from material Sperling developed during a 43-day polar science mission to the Arctic. The costume is hand-painted with designs suggestive of Arctic pack ice. "Presence," developed in honor of Black History Month, is a collaboration with Brownbody, choreography by Deneane Richburg and the performer Theron James. A new duet by ice choreographer Line Haddad and a finale for the company by Ensemble Director Elisa Angeli.
Duration about 30 min. You may watch from up on the Plaza or contac the office to get info on coming rink side. Rain date the next day same time.
