Join us as we honor notorious revolutionary dancer Isadora Duncan and Victorian rebel photographer Alice Austen, both 20th-century icons of freedom, in a program of dances choreographed by Duncan, on the magnificent grounds of Alice Austen House with a view stretching from the Statue of Liberty to lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Verrazano Bridge. The Isadora Duncan Dance Company, The Beliloveables, and guest dancers will perform solos and group works from the Duncan repertory centered around themes of nature, a subject Duncan shared with Austen. With voice-over narrations and theatrical vignettes depicting the era, the program will unfold Isadora's life and art with sensational dancing, delighting audiences of all ages.
