JERSEY CITY, NJ: "Under the Umbrella of Movement" by Carolyn Dorfman Dance & Grigory Gurevich

Company:
Carolyn Dorfman Dance
Celebrate 35 years of bold, powerful, and thrilling performance as Carolyn Dorfman Dance presents its debut performance at White Eagle Hall with Jersey City’s inimitable visual and performance artist, Grigory Gurevich.
The afternoon features repertory selections of audience favorites including Dorfman’s sensuous duet Keystone and the profoundly joyous Klezmer Sketch, with stunning props created by her long-time collaborator, Grigory Gurevich. Dorfman concludes with her sonically eclectic and interactive, WAVES. The performance also features Gurevich in UMBRELLA and CHARACTERS, pantomime that reveals that “nothing in the world is eternal” and “the hidden characters inside us all.” This is contemporary dance and movement that inspires you to think, feel, laugh, and engage.
