JACQUES D'AMBOISE, ARTHUR MITCHELL, AND EDWARD VILLELLA REUNITED ON STAGE AFTER 50 YEARS

Performances by current New York City Ballet Principal Dancers

and the children of National Dance Institute

One-night-only event, conceived and directed by Jacques d’Amboise, founder of National Dance Institute (NDI); all proceeds to support NDI programming

Jacques d’Amboise, founder of National Dance Institute (NDI) the non-profit organization that has transformed the lives of millions of public school children through the arts, will be joined by Arthur Mitchell and Edward Villella for a one-night only event – “Balanchine’s Guys.” Three of the finest male dancers of our time, d’Amboise, Mitchell, and Villella will take center stage in this next installment in Jacques' Art Nest series. Moderated by Donya Archer Bommer, they will discuss what it was like to dance for George Balanchine, and will share their memories of the master and their time touched by his genius.  The extraordinary Teresa Reichlen, Adrian Danchig-Waring, Amar Ramasar, and Daniel Ulbricht, current principal dancers with New York City Ballet, will each perform roles that were originated by the guests of honor (Apollo for Jacques d’Amboise; Agon for Arthur Mitchell, and Prodigal Son for Edward Villella.) And, of course, no event would be complete without the exuberant dancing children of NDI!

Conceived and directed by Jacques d'Amboise, joined by special guests Arthur Mitchell and Edward Villella. Performances by New York City Ballet principal ballet dancers Teresa Reichlen, Adrian Danchig-Waring, Amar Ramasar, Daniel Ulbricht, and the exuberant children of National Dance Institute.
