Julie Mayo presents "Novatia Tryer"
Thursday, October 27–Saturday, October 29 at 8 p.m.
Novatia Tryer is a commingling of solo and group forms concerned with the nerves and neurons of a dance. It is a flight from the rational and the linear towards an associative mode of meaning-making. In this new work, Mayo embraces the subconscious as a mode of knowing and unpredictability as a means to form. Mayo and her collaborators animate a construction of human behavior, affect and sound and navigate the permeable constructs of “inside” and “outside.” It is a meditation. It is an anti-meditation.
With Mayo, Jessica Cook, Katie Dean, Scott Myers, Sarah Sandoval
