UNLV Department of Dance proudly presents the inaugural performance of “ReUnited,” a virtual Alumni Dance Concert! ReUnited premieres with a watch party and live chat Friday, May 21st, 2021, at 6:00 PM PST, followed by a virtual afterparty.  The performance will be viewable on-demand May 21-23, 2021. Talk to the choreographers during our Virtual Artist Talkback, Saturday at 2:00 PM PST via Zoom.   Tickets for ReUnited are available through the UNLV Performing Arts Center for $10.00 per link.  Virtual events associated with "ReUnited" are free of charge via Zoom. This event features many styles of dance by thirteen choreographers from all over the nation.

Here's a glimpse at a few of the choreographers showcased during the show:

Ashley Vasquez, a music video and TV choreographer credited for “Big Bang Theory” and “Flipped,” is presenting “Stay Low,” a contemporary dance work filmed on location in Los Angeles.

Kristen Sholes Sullivan, an adjunct professor at Florida State College, and company member for Jacksonville Dance Theatre in Jacksonville, Florida, presents “The Things They Carried.” Representing the things we hold on to and the trace of the weight they leave when we let go, she embraces stunning production techniques during this theatrical performance.

Lonnie Chaney III, choreographer and company director with Nicky Karosy for The Village Dance Collective, focuses on team building and unification. “The Truth” characterizes the pulse of the nation, the joy of intergenerational movement and collaboration.

Heather Harper, Founder and Artistic Managing Director for Harper Continuum Dance Theatre in New York City, debuts the first installment of “As We Breathe,” a dance film recognizing the spirit of endurance and perseverance during this significant moment in history.

These are just a few of the exciting pieces presented during "ReUnited." Get your virtual ticket today!  https://www.unlv.edu/event/unlv-dance-reunited?delta=0
