“Not since Trisha Brown have we had a dance-maker who conjures such spells from movement at its purest.” — New York Times
Choreographer Liz Gerring is known for turning abstract movement, minimalist scores, and austere staging into profound, lucid artistry. Using projected text by artist Kay Rosen to create a visual space of words and color, (T)here to (T)here follows a central couple whose solos come together and move apart, mirroring the cyclical nature of relationships. Featuring an original score by frequent Gerring collaborator Michael J. Schumacher, this intimate performance allows the audience to experience the dancers as individuals with unique, yet universal, human experiences.
Co-presented with Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival.
